Our Facility

Bowen Cooperative Nursery School is located in, but not affiliated with, St. John’s Episcopal Church in Newtonville, MA.

Our 3-day, 5-day and Pre-K programs each have their own classrooms and bathrooms. Each classroom has it’s own Discovery table, art easels, blocks, dramatic play areas and we have a large supply of toys, puzzles, manipulatives, books and other resources that teachers draw from to provide the children with a stimulating and engaging environment.

We also have use of a large, carpeted multi-purpose room where, among other things, children take part in music and creative movement and parents linger to have coffee and discussions. There is a kitchen where parents prepare snack for the day and where classes have the opportunity to cook.

Outside we have our own shady playground where, weather permitting, children are given the opportunity to play in the fresh air each and every school day.
