Those of you attending June Bugs have received the Cricket and Dragonfly lists and parent help calendars. We are excited for warm, sunny days outdoors, while enjoying nature, messy art activities, songs, stories, games, and water play!
The teachers and I have been getting ready. This year, the Crickets will be led by Caroline, our current 3-Day assistant teacher (and soon-to-be 5-Day lead teacher!), and Terry Curtain. Terry is an alumni mom and teacher, and you and your child may also know her from Time for Partners. She has taught at the Red Barn at Lasell and in our own 3-Day classroom. Even though Terry has not taught at Bowen for a number of years, she still returns to help out at June Bugs year after year! The Dragonflies will be led by our 5-Day lead teacher, Cathy, and Pre-K assistant teacher, Martine. We are in the midst of planning this year's activities, and I am very excited about some of the new ideas we have for this year!
Here is a sneak peek at some of the fun activities we have planned:
Nature bracelets
Flyswatter painting
A visit from Puddlestompers
Clay nature sculptures
A special, secret Father's Day gift
All time favorites, including the Bowen Roadway, Beach Day, Nature Wands, UV beads and more!
We have only two spots remaining, so, if you have not yet signed up and you would like a spot, please let me know!
Best, Nina
